It does seem to have some effect when i take it. I don't have a measurement on my blood sugar yet but i can feel when i have high blood sugar as my skin feels like it's burning so this seems to ameliorate that. I will get a continous monitoring device to get clear data on it.
I took the 500 for one week. Lost 5 lbs. so I was thrilled. Doubled the doss and immediately experienced such sever diahera that I had to miss a day of work. Stopped taking for a week and then tried again. Vomitted for 16 hours straight, couldn't even swirl water around in my mouth and had to go to the hospital for fluids and medical grade anti-nauseau medication. Because it was so effective initionally, I decided to order the lower dose 200 an give that a go. Vomitting within 1 hour of taking it. So...great product. Clearly works if you can tolerate it, which I could clearly not. Thus the three stars.
This product has actually helped lower my cholesterol AND brought my blood sugar levels down so that I am no longer pre-diabetic. The only exercise I do is walking my dogs daily and I do try to eat clean by cooking my own meals, but no special diet. This stuff really has helped to change my life.
This is not the first time I order dietary supplements from this eminent manufacturer, and I can confidently recommend them. Qualitatively made from natural raw materials without GMOs. Big advantageous packaging, enough for a long period of use. It is better to take on the recommendation of a doctor, as effectiveness may be individualized.

I was in my second week of covid with not much improvement of sinus symptoms and fatigue when I started taking this supplement. It could have been a coincidence, but I finally started to see improvement and was over it in a few more days. I went with the Thorne brand because so many people said they thought it worked better.
I trust Thorne's products, mainly because they don't include a lot of "other ingredients." Berberine is a natural chemical from several plants, including roots of Oregon grape and goldenseal. Thorne's source is an extract from roots of "Indian barberry." It has antibiotic and anti-viral properties, and can also help with type-2 diabetes. It is important to note that it should not be taken for more than a few days in row, or your body will stop responding to it (unfortunately, their jar does not include that information). So I take it 1-week on, 1-week off, in exchange with Quercetin supplement. If you take it in capsules, you will note that both berberine and quercetin have a yellow color (with a bit of green).
I am slightly pre-diabetic. A1c of 5.8. I take one capsule after meal each day and also on a low-carb diet with exercise. Hope to reverse insulin resistance. Reviews reported that this group of natural herbs has been used by the Chinese for thousands of years for diabetics. I have lost 5 kg in two months and hope to get a better biomarkers in my next blood test.
For me this product worked for lowering LDL cholesterol and Total cholesterol after 1 month of use. I have to test it further to see for the long run how it works. I took 2 capsules daily, at night, and it lowered LDL and Total cholesterol from 168 to 130, respectively 248 to 213. I didn't have side effects like stomach problems, although I have IBS syndrome. Hope it works well for the long run and that keeps on lowering my cholesterol.
