GoodVery versatile to bit my Monday blue to cook it with whatever left in my fridge…. Chopped onion, garlic, tomatoes and sliced lady fingers, a splash of cooking wine, chillie powder, fish sauce and sprinkling a little curry powder - fusion dish yum! 😃 Great items to store for “blue” days ! Will definitely get it again
I've been using this product for years. Wild Planet offers a higher quality of sardine. This is the basic go-to: bone-in, water, no salt. You get exactly what you asked for. It's always been good. Sometimes, there's an extra sardine in the can. I eat my sardines with stew. They work perfectly in that dish. They're even delicious. Give sardines a chance. They only need the right context to shine. And they're incredibly nutrient-rich.
For canned sardines, this is the only version recommended by Medical Medium, so you can rest assured for its quality. And it's listed under his "Pet" section as well, which means it's good for dogs and cats! I've let my picky dog try it and she loves it very much! Also it contains 1,800 mg EPA and DHA Omega 3 per serving in average, which is good. The only downside is that I don't like its bones and skins, but MM didn't recommend its "skinless and boneless" version, so this is still my go-to canned sardines.
This fish is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which helps me in many ways. Omega 3 is essential for heart issues, bone health, and the likelihood of behavioral problems, and so many other reasons. These sardines come packed in water in a tin can. You can eat them right out of the can(which I don't prefer), top them with onions or chilli peppers, or add condiments such as mustard, or hot sauce. The heads have been removed, but you’ll be eating the skin and bones. I am happy with the ingredients.
Wild Planet's Wild Sardines in Water, No Salt Added, are a remarkable choice for health-conscious seafood enthusiasts. Packed in a convenient 4.4 oz (125 g) tin, these sardines offer a pure and unadulterated taste, free from added salt. The sardines are sourced sustainably, reflecting the brand's commitment to ocean-friendly practices. With a tender texture and a clean, natural flavor, they're a versatile addition to various dishes, from salads to pasta. Whether enjoyed straight from the tin or incorporated into culinary creations, these sardines stand out as a high-quality, nutritious option that aligns with both taste and environmental values.
Knowing they are so good for you, with Omega 3's, I tried again. Completely different experience. Not yet eating them cold out of the can, but working towards that. I use a hot chili macadamia nut oil, butter or avocado oil for frying. So delicious! Like a lot of people, I was fearful of sardines. Before I got these, I open a different brand and it smelled and tasted awful.
I’ve tried several sardines recently and these are my favorite. They don’t smell weird, are clean and don’t have scales. The taste is great to me and almost tastes better than tuna in my opinion. Not all sardine brands are the same. These are great. I recommend. No salt and in water is a plus. Clean and tasty. Great way to boost your omega 3 intake.
