I judge quality, ingredients, use, package, benefits and other issues in a way which might be less conventional, so this will be that kind of review. I care that this seafood option is claimed, by wild planet, to be sustainable. For me, this is a huge plus. I’m also concerned about it being dolphin-safe… but that we don’t know (tho I’ve been told by professionals that dolphin-safe is not a real or verifiable designation in practical terms). I also have questions about whether the inside of the can is reactive with the sardines and possibly not great for us, but I haven’t found any info on this either way. Putting all this together, I think this item is, overall, a great option.
My go-to for getting protein + vitamins minerals. Ever since learning the health benefits of sardines I’ve been purchasing this brand here since it’s at least $1 cheaper than the grocery store. Well worth the price in my book. They don’t smell the best. These are my favorite, the ones in water. Bones are included but not noticeable at all and are a good source of calcium! I’d recommend
Knowing they are so good for you, with Omega 3's, I tried again. Completely different experience. Not yet eating them cold out of the can, but working towards that. I put a couple of cans in cold mashed potatoes, with 2 eggs, and fry them, sometimes dusting them with cornmeal. I use a hot chili olive oil, butter or avocado oil for frying. So delicious!
Wild Planet products are generally of a great quality and this one definitely does not disappoint. My husband who does not like the taste of sardines prefers the Water with Sea Salt to that of the Olive Oil one. I personally like the taste of the Olive Oil added to it. Sardines are a great addition to any diet.
I recently tried Wild Planet wild sardines in water with sea salt and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they tasted. The sardines were firm and meaty, and the sea salt brought out their natural flavor without being overpowering. I appreciated that they were sustainably caught and contained no added oils or preservatives. They are a great source of protein and omega-3s, making them a healthy addition to my diet. I have been enjoying them on crackers and in salads, and they make a great snack when I need a quick protein boost. Overall, I highly recommend Wild Planet wild sardines in water with sea salt to anyone looking for a healthy and tasty snack.
It is a high-quality product made of sustainably caught sardines from the Pacific Ocean. It is gluten-free, non-GMO, and kosher with no added oil, water, or preservatives. The sardines have a rich, savory flavor and can be used in a variety of recipes, adding protein and omega-3 fatty acids to meals. Each can contains 4.4 ounces (125 grams) of sardines and comes in an easy-to-open package. They have a mild aroma and are packed in water with sea salt to enhance their natural flavor and freshness. The sardines are a great source of protein and essential nutrients, low in calories and fat, and perfect for seafood lovers. I strongly recommend it.
Nice product, of good quality, definitely worth repurchasing it again, price is what it is, but it has good ingredients that make it worthwhile to consider buying it, remember that all reviews are subjective to the reviewer taking into account personal preferences in regard to taste smell composition and diet requirements. Thumbs up!
