Great product. So far have only used in the home baked bread. Very tasty. Love the nutty flavour. Tomorrow I am going to try it on my porridge! regards

The real deal

From Ry: Chia seeds prove to be a real "super" food. The Tarahumara Indians run mile after mile off the energy of these seeds. This contrasts to the goji berry which gurus hype as a super food. In China, the goji berry grows all over and not praised as super anything. The only thing super about the goji is the price merchants can charge for it in the USA. These are the white chia seeds, but there is little nutritional difference between the white and black. Climate determines the nutritional value of the chia. I depend upon these seeds for my omega 3, and prefer soaking overnight before consumption. These are tiny seeds, and most folks fail to chew their food enough anyway. By including the soaked chia in soft food such as a pudding or something, the seeds become obvious and receive all your attention for effective mastication to release all those nutrients.

Excellent product! We add these seeds to our protein shakes before mixing them up with the hand blender. I love the little pop and crunch of the seeds when I chew them! (You can also grind them first before adding to release even more of their fabulous nutrition.) Chia seeds are extremely healthy for you. We use them in our morning breakfast shake (and alternate days with sunflower, sesame, flax, or pumpkin seeds): In a quart mason jar, put 2 to 4 raw organic eggs, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/4 can coconut milk, 1 tsp. psyllium husks, and 1 Tbsp. of the above seeds, then fill in with some water and use the hand blender. DELICIOUS and filling!
